With Star Wars Battlefront 2, DICE is not making the same mistake and believes that Star Wars Battlefront 2 space battles they can be a game itself.

One of the main criticism Star Wars Battlefront got was the lack of space battles which were included through DLC, however, with Star Wars Battlefront 2, DICE is not making the same mistake and believes that Star Wars Battlefront 2 space battles are so good that they can be a game itself.

Speaking with Gamereactor at Gamescom 2017, EA executive vice president Patrick Söderlund talked about Star Wars Battlefront 2 and the ambitions behind it. According to Söderlund, Star Wars Battlefront 2 is the biggest game they have built and also praised the Star Wars Battlefront 2 space battles.

Star Wars Battlefront [II] is probably the biggest shooter that we have ever built, in just pure size of what’s in there, with a deep, vastly improved multiplayer, with space battles that we showed here yesterday that, frankly, almost could be a game in itself, together with more arcade or skirmish mode, which is co-operative-based, together with a full-length campaign. It is the biggest shooter that we’ve ever built, and right now we’re polishing it, making sure that it’s as good as it needs to be when it comes out.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is a couple of months away from launch. While the first game didn’t live up to the expectations but, developers believe that there is no reason that fans would not want to be a part of Star Wars Battlefront 2.

According to producer Craig Mcleod, there is so much depth in every aspect of Star Wars Battlefront 2 they there is no reason that any Star Wars fan should miss out on the game.

However, the studio has acknowledged that the first game lacked long term goals which were one of many reasons that the game didn’t really connect with fans as it should have.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is a first-person action shooter in development at DICE and is scheduled to launch this fall for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
