AMD Threadripper Benchmarks Reveal Better Score Than Intel Xeon X5650 In Cinebench R15

We have got a few leaks and now we have some AMD Threadripper benchmarks that show an interesting score. This is the kind of performance you can expect.

AMD Threadripper CPUs are what is hot right now and we are expecting to see these CPUs coming out soon, and this is the brand that will be competing against Intel for the server market. There is little that we know about AMD Threadripper CPUs but we have got a few leaks and now we have some AMD Threadripper benchmarks that show an interesting score.

According to the AMD Threadripper benchmarks, the AMD CPU that has 16 cores and 32 threads scores higher than AMD Ryzen 7 1800X. Not only that, but it also manages to score more than the Intel Xeon X5650. As this is a very early leak there are chances that this is an early engineering sample so you can expect to see even better performance from the final product.

If these AMD Threadripper benchmarks are to be trusted then we can see the potential performance that AMD Threadripper CPUs have to offer and this is just the 16 core version. There will be more CPUs with fewer cores and fewer threads that you might be interested in also.

If you are interested in learning more about the upcoming CPU brand then you can check out the detailed article that we did regarding AMD Threadripper.

It is important to note here that the Intel CPUs that these benchmarks are considering are pretty old and this is very odd. You would expect the Threadripper CPUs to be benchmarked against modern day Intel CPUs, but that is not the case here. At least we have an idea of the performance that these upcoming CPUs have to offer.

If you were wondering about the performance of Threadripper then this is a good baseline but do take this with a grain of salt as this is a leak and this is not something that is official yet. We are still waiting for official benchmarks for the upcoming line of CPUs so stay tuned for more AMD Threadripper benchmarks.
