ARK Survival Evolved The Center Map Guide
Keeping the increasing popularity in mind, we have curated a guide that will take you through all the important locations of the map including ARK Survival Evolved The Center Map Caves Locations. This includes the Caves, the spawn points of important animals, underground world entrances etc, as well as loot crate locations.
Animal Spawn Locations
Terror Birds: You will be able to find the Terror Birds in the central and southern jungles.
Arthropleura: These giant Centipedes can be found in a number of caves. We have covered locations of the caves in detail below.
Castoroides: These are giant Beavers that can be found in and around the ponds. See the image below for guidance.
Direbears: The two eastern islands hold a number of Direbears. Rumors also have it that Direbears have been seen in the central river too.
Direwolves: These can be found in a large chunk of the area, for instance the colder western regions as well as the lava island to the north.
Kairuku: These penguins can be found on the western end parallel to the green obelisk.
Resource Spawn Locations
Cementing Paste: You will be able to find Cementing Paint in the Castoroides dams regions. Other than that, you can get it by harvesting bugs with a beelzebufo frog especially around the swamp around the floating island, or any other bugs elsewhere on the map in general.
Charcoal: There are two ways to get these, you can burn wood or get them from lava island’s burnt trees.
Chitin: Get these by killing the huge crawlies in the caves and harvesting using hatchet or sabertooth.
Crystal: This one’s available all over the map in abundance.
Metal: Just like Crystal, Metal is also available all over the map.
Obsidian: You can find it in the lava islands. Follow the smoke to its base to the pools that are on top of the mountains and you will find it.
Oil: There are a number of areas you can get this from, the tamed dung beetles, some caves, the deep sea and even the deeper sections of the rivers.
Organic Polymer: You get these from the carcasses of the Kairuku (penguins).
Pearls: There are a number of areas you can get this from, the Beaver dams, some caves, the deep sea and even the deeper sections of the rivers.

- Devourer: Northern Ice Cave
- Hunter: Western Lava Cave
- Immune: Center Floating Island Cave
- Massive: Eastern Lava Cave
- Pack: Western Lava Cave
- Skylord: Southern Ice Cave
- Strong: Southeast Cave
Center Floating Island Cave: The coordinates for a specific entrance are 56.7 x 25.1 although there also are a number of entrances at the bottom too. In there you can find artifact Immune at 63.1 x 24.3.
Ice Cave, Northern: The coordinates for a specific entrance are 36.1 x 19.5 while the Central Pool is at 38.9 x 18.1. Lastly, when you want to exit you will have to get to the central pool and reach the coordinates 39.6 x 18.8 to reach the ramp that will take you out, check the image afterwards for more guidance. Rest of the important coordinates are given below:
- West Tunnel: 40.2 x 14.3 (while swimming westwards)
- East Tunnel: 40.5 x 21.6 (while swimming eastwards)
- Clever: 36.7 x 12.9
- Devourer: 42.5 x 15.3

Ice Cave, Southern: The coordinates for a specific entrance are 85.3 x 10.5 while the exit is at 83.8 x 12.1, look for it at the mid level verticality. Check out the image below for details. Here are rest of the important coordinates:

Lava Cave, Eastern: The coordinates for a specific entrance are 27.1 x 65.2 while the exit is at 28.1 x 60.9. There are a number of artifacts and loot crates in this one, here are the coordinates for each:
- Devious: 31.9 x 52.8
- Massive: 25.9 x 47.4
- Loot crates:

- 25.2 x 46.2

- 26.5 x 56.6

Lava Cave, Western: The coordinates for a specific entrance are 32.6 x 44.5 while the exit is at 32.4 x 45.7. You will be able to find two artifacts and seven loot crates in this one, just follow these coordinates:
- Hunter: 33.7 x 49.0
- Pack: 30.9 x 49.0
- Loot crates:
- 25.2 x 46.2
- 30.4 x 49.2
- 31.4 x 48.9
- 31.8 x 48.9
- 32.0 x 46.2
- 33.1 x 49.0
- 34.5 x 48.3
Southeast Cave: This cave has a variety of entrances. One is from the northwest near the beaver dams at 78.5 x 59.2, the other is at southeast facing towards the blue obelisk at 74.5 x 69.4.
Two other entrances are also there. For the first one go downwards in the river from 67.7 x 60.6 and to the second bullet-ed step near the entrance to the Ruins.
For the second, go and enter the Ruins at 69.7 x 59.6 and from 70.8 x 60.4 swim downwards. Also, here are the coordinates for the artifact and the loot crates:

The Underground World
Flyer Passage: You can get to the flyer passage from a hole in the ground at surface at 55.4 x 62.9 or from underground at 67.5 x 56.4.
Swimming Passages: The central region has a surface entrance at 54.7 x 47.6 while an underground entrance at 54.9 x 47.9. Similarly, the southern region can be accessed at surface by swimming downwards at 66.5 x 53.4 or through underground access at 67.0 x 53.3.
Do keep in mind that you will need HUGE ladders if you wish to get out of here!
