Detroit Become Human will launch sometime next year and developer Quantic Dream has been revealing details about the game. Previous games by the studio like Heavy Rain has featured a lot of choices which an alternate the upcoming scenario and Detroit Become Human will feature way more than that.
Speaking with GamesRadar, David Cage revealed that Detroit Become Human will feature three times more choices compared to Heavy Rain. He added that there are so many alternate paths that two people might face a scenario where one is talking about its experience and the other doesn’t have a clue about what he/she is saying.
If you [and another player] compare your stories of Detroit, [they] may not even have a clue what you’re talking about.
He added that the choices that players will face will not be simply good or bad, violent or pacifist but, the choices will have a deeper impact where players will have to follow their own morality paths that may lead to unexpected consequences.
You think you’re doing the right thing and it turns out to be the bad thing. Because, as we know, real life is much more complex than pushing a button and doing a simple decision. There are many consequences.
Speaking of choices in the game, according to David Cage himself, the script for the game is almost 2000 pages. Which makes sense since there are so many branching paths that open up whenever the player is given a choice. Also, David has already revealed that it took him over two years to complete the script for Detroit: Become Human.
Currently, no release date has been announced for Detroit Become Human but the game is expected to launch in 2018 exclusively for PlayStation 4.
