Bayonetta is one of the most popular game franchises developed by Platinum Games and with Bayonetta released for PC fans are looking ahead for more. Fans have been waiting for Bayonetta 3 and it seems that Platinum Games might be equally excited to bring the third entry in the franchise.
Speaking with Source Gaming, PlatinumGames producer Atsushi Inaba revealed that he would like to make Bayonetta 3 and there is already talking in the studio about what the game will be. Furthermore, he hinted that the third game in the franchise might see a new protagonist but it is still under discussion.
Maybe there would be a male Bayonetta! (laughs). I would like to make Bayonetta 3. We’re talking within the company even now about what to do. But because we’re constantly talking about it, that actually makes it really hard to say. If we weren’t talking about it, we could just say something random or offhand, you know, but because we’re actually talking about it…Of course, that’s just something that you talk about when you’re making a series – do you want to keep the same protagonist? There’s plenty of precedent for changing protagonists, and so that is something we discuss – do we want to keep the same one, have a different one, add new ones – but that’s certainly not anything I can say for sure at this point.
Bayonetta is not only Platinum Games’ console exclusive title that made its way to PC as Sega has also released Vanquish for PC with unlocked frame-rate that makes the fast-paced action of the game even more exciting.
What would you like to see in Bayonetta 3? Will the series work with a new protagonist? Let us know in the comments.
