Metal Gear Survive was revealed back ay E3 2016 and since then we have heard very little about the project. In all honesty, I don’t really want to hear anything related to Metal Gear Survive other than the news of its cancellation.
Konami is working on this catastrophe which is not only a huge disservice to Metal Gear fans but the franchise as well. Konami is doing nothing but rearranging some assets from the Phantom Pain and marketing it as a new game. We haven’t heard of any development updates and one wonders if Konami has finally come to sense to cancel the game.
So where is Metal Gear Survive?
Well, one of the most disliked games in the gaming community is still in development. Konami is working on Survive and will show the game soon.
Konami will be present during E3 2017 and will have a playable demo for the attendees. The company won’t hold its own press event so we can expect a trailer to be released separately but during E3 2017. I doubt Microsoft or Sony would agree to accommodate Metal Gear Survive during their press events so Konami is on its own with Metal Gear Survive.
It would have been much better if Konami would just scrap this project and release a remastered version of older Metal Gear games for the 30th anniversary.
The zombie based Metal Gear games may also get a release date at E3 2017. We already know that it is a multi-platform title, releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
E3 2017 kicks off in June so stay tuned for all things E3.
