Diego Armando Maradona To Sue Konami For Using His Face In PES 2017

Sometimes companies doesn't ask people for permission to use their faces, and the same happened to Diego Armando Maradona, which will sue Konami.

Nowadays famous people treat their faces as logos. If someone wants to use them, then they have to pay. However, sometimes companies skip this phase, just like Konami did in PES 2017. The company, in fact, has put Diego Armando Maradona in the game without asking for his permission.

The former football player has heard people talking about the question, and now he’s about to sue Konami. This is what Diego Armando Maradona has stated on Facebook:

I heard yesterday that the Japanese company Konami uses my image for its game PES 2017. Unfortunately, my lawyer Matias Morla will initiate the corresponding legal actions. I hope this is not another scam…

Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 is a sports game developed by Konami for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. It was released in September 2016.

The game lacked of several teams and stadiums, but still Konami has partnered with important clubs such as FC Barcelona, Liverpool F.C., Borussia Dortmund and Club Atlético River Plate; moreover, the game allows you to apply changes to teams and kits, in order to make the game as real as possible.

Even if Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 sales weren’t as good as FIFA 17, it is still considered as one of the best titles in the PES series.

The game has on Metacritic an overall score of 87/100 for the PlayStation 4 version, and 88/100 for the Xbox One; the PC version of the game has received mixed reviews, with a score of 69/100.
