Rockstar is one of the biggest game developing studios in the games industry, and also the most respected one too. With the reveal of Red Dead Redemption 2 it was speculated that soon Rockstar will move on from the successful GTA Online to focus on the upcoming Red Dead game.
However, according to Take-Two CEO, the studio has more than enough capability to work on multiple projects. During a recent earnings call, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said that Rockstar is very confident about working on multiple projects and will keep on delivering best experiences for their fans.
Rockstar Games has enormous bandwidth to work on multiplicity of opportunities simultaneously, and I think we all can be really proud of their ability to do so and to delight consumers while delivering experiences that critics resoundingly rate as perfect or very nearly perfect. So we’ve an enormous amount of confidence in that label and their performance, and we’re incredibly excited about what is to come.
The next game to arrive from Rockstar is the much anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2, and while the developer might be working on GTA Online while developing the game, the studio has clarified that their priority is the best quality for Red Dead Redemption 2.
During the call Zelnick further added that Take Two focuses on the quality of its games, while some times even this does not works out, but innovative ideas do work out.
I would say, we are all, everyone, at this company is laser-focused on quality. And again, even that doesn’t always work out according to plan but more often than not, it does.
It is good to see that Take Two is focused to deliver the best game possible and as long as the quality of the game is top notch, who cares how many projects does Rockstar works on at one time.
