Hideo Kojima Will Attend Video Game Awards 2016 in December, No Ban From Konami This Time
Hideo Kojima was banned from attending Video Game Awards 2015 due to his situation with Konami. However, Kojima will be attending Video Game Awards 2016 in December.
The news comes from Live With YouTube Gaming host Geoff Keighley, via Periscope. At this point, it is unclear if Hideo Kojima will just be there to attend the event and mingle with friends or to show more of Death Stranding.
It would be interesting to see if there is any mention of Konami during Video Game Awards 2016 from Geoff Keighley or Hideo Kojima. The man has kept his silence about his former employer so far and is focused on his new game.
Death Stranding is in development at Kojima Productions, the studio has partnered with Sony Interactive Entertainment.
There is a lot we don’t know about the game but rumor has that it is using InFamous Second Son Engine. Meanwhile, Norman Reedus is going to play the lead role in Death Stranding.
Hideo Kojima is researching for different aspects of his new game and recently visited a Parasitological Museum with his team.
Furthermore, Kojima spoke at TGS and announced that Death Stranding will be out before 2020. He mentioned that it will be out before the year Akira is set in. Akira is a film that is set in 2019 so by that reasoning, Death Stranding should be released in 2018.
Tokyo Game Show brought us other details about the game as well. We can confirm that Death Stranding will support HDR and 4K on PS4 Pro. It won’t be surprising to see it perform better at 1080p.
