Skyrim Remastered is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It would include all of the previously released downloadable content. However, Pete Hines has confirmed that it won’t feature any new content, DLC or otherwise.

Skyrim Remastered will have many visual improvements including new snow and water shaders, improved depth of field, HD textures and much more.

PC users with copies of Skyrim are entitled to a free upgrade. Furthermore, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users are getting Mod support. Skrying Special Edition is the second console game after Fallout 4 to feature mods. Also, creation kit for PC users might not be available prior to release.

It wouldn’t have made sense to release new DLC with a remastered version.

Skyrim Remastered is welcomed with open arms but we would have preferred a new Elder Scrolls to go with it. Unfortunately, Pete Hines has confirmed that Skyrim is still a long way off. Moreover, the project won’t even be discussed by Bethesda anytime soon.
