Resident Evil 7 at E3 Gets Another Reveal Evidence

If an Unseen64 employee's Patreon is accurate we may be seeing Resident Evil 7 at E3, and hopefully it will look very good.

We may be seeing Resident Evil 7 At E3, if the Patreon page of Unseen64 writer Liam Robertson is accurate. The game would be the next Resident Evil game in the main Resident Evil series, and the next Resident Evil game after Resident Evil: Revelations 2. It will be the second Resident Evil game that will be talked about this year, with Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps slated to release in June.

We’ve heard essentially nothing about what the plot would be with this new game: while Resident Evil 6 involved multiple campaigns that all worked into a single coherent plotline, until we see Resident Evil 7 at E3 we don’t really know what the story would be.

Considering the rather complete ending of 6 (involving the death of an Ada Wong clone and the destruction of the terrorist group “Neo Umbrella” we’ll likely be seeing a new threat emerge for the Resident Evil crew to try and stop.

With the return of Claire Redfield in Resident Evil Revelations 2, we may even see one more well-loved Resident Evil character return. If she does, Claire would end up working with her brother Chris, Leon Kennedy, and Sherry Berkin.

We’ll most likely see Resident Evil 7 at E3 at either the Microsoft or the Sony conference (though considering Capcom’s partnership with Sony most likely the Playstation conference) on Monday or Tuesday, when the two tech giants will be having their own specific presentations. We may see more of the game at some point further during the actual event as well.

Either way, considering the middling success of Resident Evil 6 but the much better reception of Resident Evil Revelations 2, hopefully Capcom will be able to make another quality Resident Evil game that might even be on par with Resident Evil 4.

However, we’ll just have to wait and see how Resident Evil looks at E3 before we make any conclusions.
