Following a number of leaks, EA has officially revealed Battlefield 1. However, there are still some questions that need to be answered, and at least one question has been answered from a recent leak. According to twitter user txt231 Battlefield 1 campaign will have only six missions or episodes.
Since txt231 has refer the singleplayer missions of Battlefield 1 as episodes, it could be possible that Hardline’s episodic format maybe making a comeback in Battlefield 1’s single-player campaign.
That’s not all txt231 has revealed, he took a step further and also revealed the names of each missioni from Battlefield 1 single player.
Here are the rumored names of the Battlefield 1’s campaign missions:
- Friends in High Places
- Nothing is Written
- Through Mud and Blood
- Avanti Savoia!
- The Runner
- Epilogue
Total of six missions seems very small for a single player campaign, but it is a possibility that each mission will be lengthy and overall the single-player campaign will be on par with previous Battlefield games.
Keep in mind that this information could very well be false.
Battlefield 1’s lead designer, Danny Berlin, claims that each mission in Battlefield 1 campaign will consist of large sandboxes. This could be similar to the franchise’s multiplayer map layout and each mission may play like a mini open world.
It is important to mention that this is not set in stone, as these are just rumors for now and txt231 can be wrong with his info that the game will have only six story missions. After all, DICE has not revealed any information regarding the game’s single player campaign, except that Battlefield 1 will take place during world war 1.
Fans were already complaining about lack of single player campaign in Star Wars Battlefront so having a short Battlefield 1 campaign won’t do EA any good.
We shall see more of the singleplayer campaign during EA’s press conference at EA PLAY so we will get a better idea about the scope of its campaign.
Battlefield 1 will release on October 21 2016 for PC, Xbox one and PlayStation 4, for those who are members of EA access can get their hands on the game on October 18 2016.
