Dark Souls 3 is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game is only available in Japan but won’t hit the western market till April 12.

However, there are fans who just can’t wait a few weeks to play the game so they downloaded it from Japanese servers, imported it and used a range of other ways to get their hands on it.

Many are already playing Dark SOuls 3 but From Software doesn’t want them to. The company has issued a warning to players who are playing it, the developer says the title isn’t complete and won’t be until a day-one patch is released for it on April 12.

Playing it right now in the west will make it much more hard than it already is due to pending optimization. Also, multiplayer mode isn’t added.

We would like to take this opportunity to inform Dark Souls III fans that any gameplay they may experience prior to the official April 12th release date for the game will not be complete.

The international version of the game currently does not have its multiplayer capabilities activated, nor does it include the contents of a planned day-one patch that will deliver further optimization of the game. Players will be able to download the day-one patch on April 12th, the official international release date for Dark Souls III.

Dark Souls 3 publisher is thankful for your interest but recommends waiting till the official western release.

Dark Souls 3 is considered a true hier to the Souls series so I guess it is best to not ruin its first impression by playing it without its day-one patch as doing so may cause issues.
