New Fallout 4 Automatron DLC Adds 5 Achievements for 100 Points
The Fallout 4 Automatron DLC will ruin the days of those people that have already managed to get every Fallout 4 achievement. The DLC pack, which allows players to build their own robot companions, releases some time this month and ads five new achievements to the game’s list that add up to 100 gamerscore.
“Headhunting”: Complete the quest of the same name.
“Mechanical Menace”: Complete the quest of the same name.
“The Most Toys”: Build 10 robot mods
“Restoring Order”: Again, complete the quest of the same name
“Robot Hunter”: Unlock 10 robot mods.
The story of the DLC will revolve around a three-quest chain, where a villain known as the Mechanist is unleashing hordes of robots all over the Commonwealth. These range from the current robotic enemies (Protectrons, Assaultrons, Sentry bots, and eyebots) to an old friend(?) from the other games in the Fallout series, the Robobrain (a big cylindrical robot on treads operated by a human brain.)
“The mysterious Mechanist has unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain. Hunt them down and harvest their parts to build and mod your own custom robot companions. Choose from hundreds of mods; mixing limbs, armor, abilities, and weapons like the all-new lightning chain gun. Even customize their paint schemes and choose their voices,”
Fallout 3 players may recognize the name “The Mechanist” as one of the subjects of a quest from the Capital Wasteland. However, how he got to the Commonwealth is a mystery (especially if you ended that quest by persuading him to stop the superhero act).
The patch that will prepare Fallout 4 for the DLC will release by the end of this week. The release date for the Fallout 4 Automatron DLC has not been stated yet, but it will cost around 10 dollars and release some time this month. After Automatron will come two other DLC packs: the 5 dollar Wasteland Workshop, and the 25 dollar Far Harbor DLC.
