For Honor is Built Using “Long-Term Appeal” in Mind: Ubisoft

For Honor developer Ubisoft is making the game with the aim of giving it long term appeal.

The most interesting and unique game to be revealed at E3 back in June was For Honor. In it currently under development at Ubisoft and will presumably release sometime next year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

For Honor is a MOBA in a third-person views. The first thing that immediately came to mind was League of Legends. You’ll have your own minions and whole team of players, going up against other players.

Anyways, According to Ubisoft, developers are creating this game with “long-term appeal” in mind. It’s something most developers aim for these days.

Community Developer Emile Gauthier said.

We also want For Honor to have long-term appeal, so we want to create enough depth and content to keep players engaged for as long as possible. It’s paramount that we manage to build a true easy-to-learn/hard-to-master experience that will please new and seasoned players alike.

For Honor is no doubt something many for us will be interested in, regardless of the fact that most of the stuff to come out of Ubisoft lately has been below average.

For Honor has potential, but so did Watch Dogs and Unity.
