DLC Will Work With Backward Compatible Games on Xbox One, You Won’t Have to Pay Again

Xbox One backwards compatibility games will support DLC and players won't have to pay for them if they have bought them on Xbox 360.

Those who wish to know if DLC for Xbox 360 games will work on Xbox One backward compatible titles, we have the answer.

All DLC for such games will be compatible with Xbox One, so you don’t need to worry about anything. Moreover, if you have already bought a certain piece of DLC, you won’t have to pay for it again.

When Xbox One was released, no one imagined Xbox 360 games running on the new console. Although BC was the most wanted feature, it was pretty much considered impossible. However, Microsoft pulled it off and managed to run 360 games on Xbox One.

How? Mike Ybarra explained:

..when we originally released the Xbox One the idea of us doing backward compatibility was something we didn’t believe could happen. We were fortunate enough to have the right set of engineers. To Phil Spencer’s credit, he pushes the teams. He knows that all engineers love to be challenged with something someone says is impossible, and then told to make it happen. When we opened up the user feedback site, backwards compatibility was number one by a large margin and it was something we didn’t want to just ignore. We took on the challenge; we solved a lot of the engineering problems that existed, and frankly surprised ourselves in some ways.

There are over 100 games coming to Xbox One with Backwards Compatibility, and more will be added over time.
