Tales of Zestiria Sorey Character Combat Guide – Stats, Artes, Talents

Tales of Zesteria Sorey character combat tips and tactics with an overview of base stats, artes and support talents.

Sorey is a standard sword fighter in Tales of Zestiria with fast-paced Martial Artes, making him an excellent front-line character to press casters and deal some direct damage.

While Sorey is best when using his Martial arts and stat-boosting equipment for HP and SC recovery, his Hidden Artes are also extremely useful.

Tales of Zestiria Sorey Combat Tips

Sorey is immune to stagger when using his Hidden Artes, so while they can take longer to execute and leave him a bit vulnerable, they sallow for some excellent tanking and high-damage dealing, and can be great openers or finishing moves.

Despite being a primarily in-your-face, melee character, Sorey’s versatility comes from his different elemental Artes, which gives players enough choices to have an advantage in the battlefield by capitalizing on elemental weaknesses.

Recommended Tactics

Sorey is a fast, quick, and powerful close-ranged character who works best with equipment that utilize stun boosts and status effects.

He’s best used as an initiator, taking care of enemies right at the start of a battle or dealing enough damage quickly at the start to give yourself a significant advantage.

The combination of quick martial and hidden artes allows Sorey to quickly change enemies and inflict status effects or stuns. This can also allow players to use Sorey as a support-ish character through this strategy, by quickly switching enemies once you’ve dealt status ailments on one of them already.

Because Sorey operates at the front, it is recommended that a few slots of his are reserved for HP-recovery or damage negation skills, allowing him to play a powerful initiator/tanking role and freeing your casters from the responsibility of healing him after he dives into battle at the start.
