Need for Speed Has Gone Gold

With Need for Speed coming out in November Ghost revealed today that the release has gone gold. Though we are yet to learn the size of the day-one patch.

Earlier we reported that Fallout 4 had gone gold but that’s not the only game to make the announcement. Ghost have also revealed that Need for Speed is also ready for launch onto the console (and PC) roads.

Just like Bethesda they took to Twitter to reveal the good news:

You can also see in the trailer included above that EA Access have also reminded people that they’ll be able to play the game early through the service which is exclusive to Xbox One. Though it’s a shame that no real game footage was shown to tease us with what’s to come.

It will be interesting how fans react to the release of Need for Speed, especially with the “always online” controversy that is an issue to some. There is still a high level of expectation for the game though, especially with a major franchise like this, even if the last few iterations of the game haven’t really delivered.

Need for Speed is coming November 3, which is going to be a busy time for games. With Fallout 4 coming days after the release and games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Star Wars Battlefront also heading towards release, Need for Speed will have a battle on its hands. Whether it can catch fans interest before their time is taken up with other games will be interesting to see.
