DOOM Closed Alpha testing phase is going to start today, and if you are one of the lucky fans/ testers who have been able to get in on it, you should also make sure that your system is good enough to run it well.
Bethesda Softworks has released the minimum and recommended system requirements, so match what you have got with these.
Keep in mind that if you are aiming for the minimum system requirements, the DOOM Closed Alpha is going to run at 720p however, reaching the recommended system requirements is going to let you enjoy the game at 1080p. Here they are:

- 64-bit Windows 7/Windows 8.1
- Intel Core i5 @ 3.3 GHz or better / AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz or better
- 8 GB RAM
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 (2GB VRAM) / AMD Radeon HD 7870 (2GB VRAM)
- 6GB HDD space
- Steam account
- High speed internet connection
Recommended System Requirements

Just in case you are not sure, you would have been able to get access to the DOOM Closed Alpha if you had bought Wolfenstein: The New Order before May 26.
