Metal Gear Solid V Images Show Big Boss Face-to-Face With the Man on Fire, Hallucination?

By   /   1 year ago

We have some new images for you from the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. These images give us a better look at the Man on Fire, who is speculated to be Colonel Volgin from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

Images are spoiler free so don’t hesitate to take a look below.

Snake is seen holding a gun and aiming towards the Man on Fire, which indicates that he is indeed real. However, in a different image we see Psycho Mantis emerging behind Snake, and previous trailers have shown that Mantis and The Man on Fire are on the same side.

Mantis is the best when it comes to playing with a soldier’s mind, which gives weight to a theory, which I personally believe in, that Mantis is making Big Boss hallucinate.

There are plenty of theories and speculations but we won’t know how things will go down, until the release of this awaited title.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on September 1.
