Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Sold 2.7M in Nine Months: Capcom
The third quarter of the running fiscal year ended recently and as a result we are continuously getting the reported earnings from numerous companies. They are really enlightening when it comes to the state of a given competitor in the market.
Right now, we have the consolidated financial results of Capcom for the first nine months of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2015.
Among the tons of details that they have shared regarding their sales and profits, they have also let us in on the performance of some of their major titles in the market like Ultra Street Fighter IV and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.
Based on the notes that Capcom has provided with the financial report, we can clearly understand that their overseas sales went strong alongside the local sales of MH4U, they also seem to be satisfied with how Dead Rising 3 has sold:
In the Digital Contents business, sales of the special feature title Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (for New Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS) were largely in line with the plan and sales of Ultra Street Fighter IV (for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC) targeting overseas markets were also solid, reflecting its strong popularity. In addition to the satisfactory sales of Dead Rising 3 (for Xbox One and PC), which was a million seller in the previous fiscal year.
In this period, the Nintendo 3DS exclusive title Monster Hunter4 Ultimate has sold exactly 2.7 million units ever since it was released. Ultra Street Fighter IV has also bagged 500,000 units.
Capcom agreed that they have also underperformed when it comes to Gaist Crusher God, a 3DS exclusive. They also reproached the lack of mobile titles.
Do you think Capcom will be great if it focuses more on mobile titles?
