Leaks and rumors are nothing new to the game industry, every now and then a new report emerges that excites everyone. However, not all of these rumors turn out to be true and that is the case with the recent Xbox One X delay rumor which Xbox head declared false.
Recently, a rumor started to make rounds on the internet suggesting that Xbox One X has been delayed, however, Xbox head Phil Spencer took it to the Twitter and shot down the Xbox One X delay rumor stating that “Still on track for November 7th. Feeling good about that date”.
Speaking of rumors, another report has been running wild on the internet that suggests Microsoft is already working on a successor to Xbox One X. According to the report, the successor to Xbox One X will not come out in the next two years since it will be too early. The report further suggests that the console will be a refresh of Xbox One X.
In related news, Microsoft general manager Dave McCarthy has revealed that Microsoft is intentionally focusing on PC for VR and AR.
Our focus right now is admittedly on the PC space. So we look at Windows 10, we see an open ecosystem for developers. We see a huge installed base of half a billion monthly active devices on Windows 10. And we say that feels like the right area of focus right now [for VR/AR].
He further added that VR is yet to receive any groundbreaking experience that will showcase its true potential but, that is not exactly the problem with the system.
