Darksiders 3 Is More Contained, Comparable to Darksiders 1

With the release of Darksiders 3 developers are going to back to the roots. Darksiders 3 is going to be more contained.

Darksiders 2 was a giant open world RPG and was very different from the original game. However, with the release of Darksiders 3 developers are going to back to the roots. Darksiders 3 is going to be more contained compared to Darksiders 2.

According to THQ Nordic’s Reinhard Pollice, they going for a more contained experience with the new game. He explained that they are not looking to be like Darksiders 2: “Our game is not trying to be a big open world RPG like Darksiders 2. It’s more contained like Darksiders 1.”

He went on to say that they are building the world in a way that it should have a natural feel of coming back to places, a nostalgic experience for the player.

We built the world in a way that there is a natural sense of coming back to places but also the player always has choices where he wants to go and there is obviously a good amount of sides and secrets to discover.

Previously, THQ Nordic mentioned that the world of this game is going to be the star.

The game will apparently take place either sometime before or at roughly the same time as Darksiders and Darksiders 2, meaning Fury will be running concurrently with her brothers as they all run around doing their own things.

Darksiders 3 is going to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC. THQ Nordic is also considering  supporting PlayStation 4 Pro and Microsoft’s Xbox One X. However, nothing seems to be finalized for the time being.
