Project Cars 2 Native 4K/60 FPS Confirmed For Xbox One X, PS4 Pro Version Still Uncertain

Slightly Mad Studios has revealed that Project Cars 2 will support native 4K for Microsoft's upcoming console, Xbox One X.

With the reveal of Xbox One X, many third-party developers have announced that their games will take full advantage of the console. Previously, Slightly Mad Studios announced that Project Cars 2 will not suffer on Xbox One X because of PS4 Pro and now the studio has revealed that Project Cars 2 will support native 4K for Microsoft’s upcoming console.

Slightly Mad Studios has confirmed that Project Cars 2 will run at native 4K and 60 frames per second on Xbox One X and added that they have not yet decided the resolution for Sony’s PlayStation 4 Pro. However, this will not be the only racing title that will run at native 4K/60 FPS as Forza 7 will also run at native 4K/60 FPS on Xbox One X.

Slightly Mad Studios has also revealed that the development team is working hard to bring the game to PSVR but, added that they can’t make any promises. According to Creative Director Andy Tudor, the studio is working on PSVR version of the game and added he can’t confirm the game releasing for PSVR because there is a lot of work that remains to be done before that.

With PSVR we can’t confirm that it’s definitely coming, but our team are hard at work on it. The reason I can’t confirm that it’s definitely going to come out is because there’s a lot of work required to get the game running to our standards.

Project Cars 2 is an upcoming racing simulator game in development at Slightly Mad Studios and will launch in 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStaiton 4.
