Recently, PS4 exclusive game, Infamous Second son, received a patch to bring PlayStation 4 Pro support. However, no details were revealed by the devs about what enhancements the game will be getting. Well, developer Sucker Punch Productions has now detailed them.
Sucker Punch’s Jason Connell detailed that Infamous Second Son benefits from PS4 Pro in a number of ways. The game will definitely support HDR on the upgraded console along with other enhancements.
First up is HDR. When we re-worked our engine to create Infamous Second Son for the PS4, we had a strict focus on realistic lighting and exposure. We wanted the art direction and tech to reflect realism in a way that immerses players in the damp, rainy streets of Seattle. We did a lot of work to ensure our sky, sun, and light sources felt like the real thing. So why is HDR such a big deal now? This patch, along with an HDR capable TV, pushes those crazy bright values even further.
Also the game will see enhancements in the in-game particle effects, and other smaller details. Furthermore, the game will also feature a performance option, which will let players to choose between better frame rate and higher resolution.
