Our Resident Evil 2 Remake Demo Tips and Strategies Guide will share some helpful tips and tricks that will help you get the most out of the one-shot demo. The demo covers the perspective of Leon S. Kennedy as he first arrives at the Raccoon City Police Station. You are allowed a total playtime of 30 minutes but it can be finished off earlier, therefore, it is best to savor the experience.

Resident Evil 2 Remake Demo Tips

Keep in mind that the time is limited; taking it too slowly may cost you so keep your pace moderate. You will be given more chances if you die, but that will take up a chunk of your time, so it is better to play it safe and avoid dying.

In order to make up for the time, you will have to run a lot and skip some enemies. You can access the remaining time by pausing the game on the top-right corner of the screen. Note that pausing the game pauses the timer as well.

Exploration is the Key!
Initially, it is advised to explore as much as you can on your first attempt. Most of the areas are locked in the game, so it should not take you much time.

This will let you on to the feel for the game and make you appreciate its aesthetic beauty.

Additionally, you will be able to find the extra gear to assist you as well as some Easter Eggs left by the developer such as JOJO written on the locker.

Finding the Best Gear
You will find plenty of gear in the RE2 Remake Demo that you may miss on your first attempt, especially the shotgun. For those who are new to the game, you may find herbs and have no idea what to do with them.

Herbs are essentially the healing aids for you. You can use the Green Herb on its own to replenish some HP but its effects are further strengthened when combined with a Red Herb, therefore, keep your eyes peeled for that.

Right off the bat, you will notice that the pistol Leon comes equipped with is nothing fancy. It is a peashooter and only makes a difference when you are aiming for the head.

However, do not worry; you can get your hands on a powerful shotgun early on in the demo.

Upon meeting Officer Marvin, you will be told to get to the West Wing. Here, you will find Weapons Locker Keycard on one of the tables of Operations Room.

You will be able to use that keycard in the Safety Deposit Room where you will find your shotgun.

Spray and Pray
Ammo conservation is not a problem in the one-shot demo. The overall resources are limited, but in my opinion, they are plenty to get you through the first 30 minutes.

With that said, it is better to aim at the head because the damage on your pistol is pathetic and even with the headshots, it takes about 3 hits to take down a zombie.

Evasion
If you ever run out of ammo for your weapons, it is best to avoid conflicts. Throughout the gameplay, you will come across two knives, but they will not help much.

The first use for the knife is to slash during which your character is immobile that makes you vulnerable to attacks.

Moreover, the fact that in order to slash you have to be in close proximity to the zombie does not help much. Secondly, you can also use Combat Knife in order to open locks.

The best move to pull off in this situation is to run. While zombies can sometimes surround you and give you a hard time, they are very sluggish. Therefore, you can easily run circles around them. Use that to your advantage.

Additional Tips
If you are having a hard time landing headshots, you should take your time aiming. This reduces the reticle size, making your shot more precise.

Keep in mind that the time available to you is limited so inventory management is not to be focused on. When hoarding items, it is advised to leave some behind when your inventory is full, especially items like Wooden Board.

Although Wooden Board might be a relevant pick for the full game, I did not see any major impact it had on my game during the demo.

Cutscenes also take up your time so it is best to skip them during your playthrough, especially if you plan on purchasing the full game.

Completing the demo will reward you with a bonus cutscene, but if you were not able to complete the demo on time, then do not worry. You can find it attached below:
