The development is going so well that Spiderman PS4 hasn’t seen a single downgrade since its 2016 reveal. According to Sony and Insomniac Games, Marvel has given the development team complete creative freedom and time to deliver their vision.

According to Marvel’s Bill Rosemann:

Marvel Games is giving Insomniac the freedom to tell their Spider-Man story. We’re here to collaborate with them and embrace their vision and help them execute that to the fullest. And by giving them that freedom, they’ll deliver something new and unexpected so you, as the player, won’t know what is going to happen next.

As far as Spiderman PS4 story goes, it won’t be an origin story. The game is completely separate from the movies and will tell its own story. More details and Spiderman PS4 gameplay footage will be shared in the coming weeks and months when final marketing phase kicks off.

Marvel’s Spiderman is set to be released in 2018 on PlayStation 4. The title will also support PlayStation 4 Pro.
