Yakuza Kiwami 2 Is Now Available On Steam for The PC Master Race

The beloved second entry in the Yakuza franchise has been remastered and released on Steam. You can now get Yakuza Kiwami 2 from Steam and experience the game in 4k textures with unlocked framerates as well. This also confirms an ESRB ratings leak not very long ago.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is priced at $32 on Steam, and was made available to the consumers just yesterday. The original game released on the PlayStation 4 in Japan on December 7th and then worldwide on August 28th.

As of May 9th, you can get Yakuza Kiwami 2 on Steam as well, but why should you make this purchase? What’s their to offer in this graphically remastered title?

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a continuation of the series reboot that Yakuza Kiwami initiated in 2016. The game uses the Dragon Engine from Yakuza 6 and goes through the same plot of the original Yakuza 2. Yakuza Kiwami 2 does reportedly cover up a lot of confusing plot holes and other mistakes according to fans of the series.

The Yakuza Kiwami 2 gameplay itself is an open-world third-person perspective experience. You take control of protagonist Kiryu who was an ex Yakuza gang member in Japan. Known as the dragon, the game’s plot surrounds another rising gangster with the dragon title wanting to seize control of the locale.

The events of Yakuza Kiwami 2 are therefore a gang war basically. The catch is that Kiryu’s role is to try preventing the war from breaking out of control. Furthermore, you’ll face a new enemy known as the Omi alliance.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 was very well received by critics in Japan during the initial week of its release and the following timeline after. The same goes for when the game went worldwide and now PC players on Steam can enjoy the game as well. Thank God it isn’t an Epic Games exclusive.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is now available on Steam and developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio using the Dragon Engine.
