In related news, creative director Jens Matthies has revealed that Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus will not be the last entry in the rebooted franchise and also hinted that Mecha-Hitler might return in the next game.

Matthies revealed that the studio has planned the series as three-part saying that “We always envisioned this as a trilogy”. He added that “if we get to make the third one–once we introduce Mecha-Hitler, you can’t go up from there.”

Furthermore, Machine Games have revealed that the game will be much more immersive compared to the first game and it also features a new game engine.

According to director Jens Matthies, to achieve total immersion for the upcoming Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, the studio has changed the game engine and has rebuilt all the systems like AI and character movement from scratch.

we switched engines, so we rebuilt every system including AI and player movement. It still feels like Wolf, but there’s tons of new stuff happening. If a grenade goes off near you, you’ll fall to the ground but can still keep shooting.

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is a first-person action shooter in development at Machine Games and is scheduled to launch on October 27, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
