Wolcen Lords of Mayhem Crafting Guide

In Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem, you have a free hand to choose your gear which dictates your class. You can craft different types of items that will require different materials. In this guide, we will explain the different aspects of Wolcen Lords of Mayhem Crafting system.

Wolcen Lords of Mayhem Crafting

Gems
In Wolcen, Gems will be a great part of your crafting process. Gems are stackable items and offer various options during crafting. Gems have fixed affix values determined by the gem’s type and quality. A Gem will grant 3 types of bonuses.

  • Offensive Bonus
  • Defensive Bonus
  • Support Bonus

But there is a twist. The matching sockets to these bonuses will be completely random! The bonuses will be determined by a random roll. Each bonus has three types of sockets. The chances to roll a socket (I), (II) or (III) are the same and there is no rarity rank between these.

Ethereal Reagents
In Wolcen, the item being crafted will be based on item affixes modifications and consuming socketed gems to force or protect specific affixes.

You will have several reagents available in-game as loots or endgame rewards, and you will need to use gems if you want to have control over the outcome of your craft.

These reagents all have special effects and you don’t need to have a gem on your item to use them at all. They also exist with a Greater form allowing you to use them on legendary items, but never on Uniques. Following Ethereal Reagents are present in the game:

Abyssal Tear
Removes a random magic effect when used on an item. It will consume all socketed gems to guarantee keeping a magic effect whose type is chosen randomly among all the types of gems on the item. Greater gem power allows the keeping of higher-level magic effects. This item cannot be applied on legendary and unique items.

Entropy Orb
Entropy Orb rerolls all magic effects when used on an item. It will consume all socketed gems to guarantee a magic effect whose power depends on the gems’ level, and whose type is chosen randomly among all the types of gems on the item. This item cannot be applied on legendary and unique items.

Ohm’s Echo
Removes a random magic effect and adds another when used on an item. It will consume all socketed gems to guarantee a new magic effect whose power depends on the gems’ level, and whose type is chosen randomly among all the types of gems on the item. This item cannot be applied on legendary and unique items.

Erieban Tear
Adds a new random magic effect when used on an item. It will consume all socketed gems to guarantee a new magic effect whose power depends on the gems’ level, and whose type is chosen randomly among all the types of gems on the item. This item cannot be applied on legendary and unique items.

Greater Erieban Tear
Adds a new random magic effect when used on an item. It will consume all socketed gems to guarantee a new magic effect whose power depends on the gems’ level, and whose type is chosen randomly among all the types of gems on the item. This item can be applied on legendary items, but not on unique ones.

All in all, these reagents allow you more control over crafting and bonuses. If you don’t get your desired result, you will have the possibility to reroll your sockets at the Jeweler Zanafer Stark.

Genesis Stones
Genesis stones allow you to add very powerful modifiers to your armor and weapons through crafting, such as the ability to use a skill that you should not be able to use otherwise.
