Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Bardin Ranger Guide

This Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Bardin Ranger Guide will tell you all about how to use the Bardin Ranger Veteran in Vermintide 2. Everything from his abilities to strategies that you can use will be discussed and useful tips and tricks will be provided to ensure success on the battlefield.

Ranger characters are generally not that strong in Vermintide 2 as of right now. However, Bardin is an exception. He is able to be quite a bit powerful provided you know what you are doing with him.

Like all ranged characters though, there is a level of complexity to the class and you can use this Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Bardin Ranger Guide to learn how to use it before you can be as effective with it as you would be with another class.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Bardin Ranger

As the Bardin Ranger, your passive is known as Survivalist. There are three different things that Survivalist does for you.

One of them is the fact that your specials will be dropping ammo for you to pick up. Your capacity to carry ammo will also be doubled as will your reload speed. This allows you to keep on hitting enemies relentlessly and deal a lot of sustained damage.

Your career skill is known as Disengage on the Bardin Ranger. This unleashes a cloud of smoke onto the world and you can be invisible as long as you are in the smoke.

It is interesting to note that attacking or moving will not cancel the invisibility effect.

This means that you can use the smoke to revive teammates, get away from attackers or relentlessly attack the enemy without a lot of fear for backlash.

Bardin Ranger Veteran Weapons

For your ranged weapon, the crossbow is by far your best choice. It has a lot of damage and a decent reload speed coupled with the fact that it can pierce through multiple enemies in one shot.

This weapon is perfect for when there are tons of enemies around you and you want to kill more than one in a single shot.

The only problem is that it can be a little difficult to get headshots with the weapon due to your ammo moving in a trajectory. Do not be alarmed though, as the crossbow is quite accurate and will usually hit the target.

The melee weapons are not that difficult. You cannot really go wrong that much. Most of the weapons available to you will have a small use in your gameplay. Your main weapon is the crossbow and it can deal as much damage as you want it to.

However, the Warpick does seem to be the best chance that you can take.

The increase in critical chance and its decent damage will make it a good backup weapon for when you run out of ammo or the fight gets dangerously close.

For your trinkets, it is good to prioritize critical strikes and critical damage.

As you may have guessed by now, your primary goal as the Bardin Ranger is to deal as much damage as you possibly can.

For this reason, defensive trinkets are not really worth that much and you should use the ones that maximize your damage output.

Tips and Tricks

Your melee weapons will be quite weak against shielded enemies, so make sure you do not lose a lot of your health fighting enemies which will only make you weaker.

Remember that you have two options; one is to stay behind your teammates and largely use your crossbow to deal damage from farther away, while the other one is to dive right in and alternate between your Warpick and your crossbow to take out enemies.

Managing your ammo is by far the most important skill that separates the good Bardin Ranger from the great one.

You only get so much ammo so it is best if you try and be conservative with it as much as you can. Remembering to prioritize specials is a good way to replenish your ammo mid-fight.

Lastly, always focus on the enemy who can attack you most easily, since Bardin Ranger is not that big on defense and it would be quite easy for you to die as him.
