Darksiders 3 And Biomutant Don’t Have A Release Date, Says THQ Nordic

Darksiders 3 and Biomutant apparently don't have concrete release dates yet as THQ Nordic attempts to find a time that's commercially viable for them to release.

Two of THQ Nordic’s upcoming games, Darksiders 3 and Biomutant, apparently don’t have release dates yet, according to a statement by the studio itself. Metro Exodus, the next entry in the Metro series, has also been delayed by THQ Nordic, to the beginning of 2019. Though we don’t have a concrete date yet.

The reason behind not knowing when Darksiders 3 and Biomutant will release is because the company is looking for a release date that would be economically viable. Considering that there are so many highly-anticipated games coming out throughout the rest of this year (and we don’t even know what E3 will bring us), it’s probably a good decision.

Darksiders 3, however, still has a lot of anticipation out for it, since it’s the next entry in what many thought was a dead series ever since the original THQ went down, before it was saved by Nordic. Darksiders 3 tells the story of a third Horseman of the Apocalypse, Fury, as she travels to Earth before the events of the first Darksiders game to hunt down the Seven Deadly Sins.

Biomutant itself is something more odd, as players take the roll of a mutant raccoon-like creature out to save a giant tree from dying and ending the world along with it. But those are only two of the 54 different projects that THQ Nordic is currently overseeing, so there’s a lot of other games we’ll have to keep our eye on in the future.

While THQ Nordic won’t be at E3 this year, meaning we’ll likely get no other information about Darksiders 3 and Biomutant, every day that the dev team isn’t pressured for a release date at least means that the teams can spend more time polishing them up.

Either way, hopefully we’ll be getting Darksiders 3 and Biomutant release dates sometime in the near future.
