TotalBiscuit to be Inducted in Esports Hall Of Fame

It has been officially confirmed that the gaming legend known as TotalBiscuit is going to be inducted into the Esports Hall of Fame. This ceremony will take place at ESL One Hamburg this year at the end of October. John Bain is being inducted for his great influence in the gaming world.

Totalbiscuit was a very popular video game commentator. He was mostly known for his “WTF is…” Esports series. He’s going to be the first non-professional player to be included in the Hall Of Fame. Despite not being a pro player, he managed, sponsored and commentated for many Esports events.

John Bain used to stream and commentate on games like StarCraft 2 and Dota 2. He worked in different tournaments for Assembly, DreamHack, ASUS ROG, MLG Pro Circuit, NASL, WCS America and more. That’s not all. He also formed his own professional team for StarCraft 2 called “Axiom”.

His amazing gaming journey ended on May 24, 2018, after a four year battle with cancer.

ESL writes:

His influence on the esports scene can not be understated as his passion and support helped drive various competitive titles towards the heights they reached today. He left behind a body of work unmatched by any other while still managing to give a voice to indie scenes and breakout players. His contributions to the industry are immeasurable and as such we are honored to induct him into the Esports Hall of Fame as the first non-player. His legacy will live on.

It’s definitely going to be a big achievement for his family. More people will get to know about this legend.

Back in May, John Bain retired from game criticism due to his increasingly bad health. He retired by saying that he will look for other methods to continue in the gaming community. But sadly, he also revealed that he has realized that there’s not much time left for him. He couldn’t do anything else than to bear the pain.

2018 can be considered one of the saddest years in the gaming industry. Another hardcore fan of Xbox known as “Xbox Addict” also passed away this year.
