Tomb Raider GPS Caches Map Locations Guide

Alongside the Documents and Relics collectables in Tomb Raider, Lara Croft can explore the mystery-filled island for GPS Caches, which unlock series of extra bonuses which can be accessed from the game’s menu.

GPS Caches vary from Documents and Relics because of their large number; there are a total of 75 GPS Caches located on the island. In order to find them, you’ll have to take more than just the conventional on-the-lookout approach.

Instead, there are many ways that Cache hunting can be made easier in the game. The most beneficial way is by finding Treasure Maps. There are 14 Treasure Maps that can be found in the game, of which seven are found in treasure chests by raiding the seven tombs.

These maps allow players to not only see the GPS Caches, but all other collectables in the game.

This is a great way to achieve the No Stone Left Unturned achievement, which requires you to find all GPS Caches, Documents, and Relics. Once the maps are acquired, players can mark the location of the GPS Cache on the map, and by using Lara’s Survival Instincts can follow a blue trail that will lead you to it.

There is also another method of finding the Caches, which is by using the Tier 3 skill called Cartography. Locations of immediately close collectables will be added to the map if this skill is available. The Cartography method is obviously much more difficult when compared to GPS Caches, because it will still require Lara to explore the entire island.

GPS Caches give you 5 XP points per Cache. It’s not much compared to the amount you receive by collecting other collectables or by raiding tombs, but its good enough for the completionists to have a look at.
