Titanfall 2 Complex Map Guide

In our Titanfall 2 Complex Map Guide, we have provided an overview of everything you need to know about the said map along with tips for different game modes.

Prime Locations

Elevator Area
This small area does not have a whole lot of cover, but you can take advantage of its shape in order to catch enemies off-guard. The entire place is shaped like ā€˜Lā€™ with a few corners. When playing titans who have access to traps i.e. Scorch, make sure to set up traps and hinder enemy movement.

Lobby Area
This is one large area with many branching paths, pretty decent cover, and multiple entrances/exits. The largest section of the map has a few pillars which cannot only act as cover, but can also be used in order to gain a quick speed boost and confuse your enemies.

The same cannot be said for the central area which is why you need to avoid roaming here as much as possible. You should also be able to find sufficient cover to scout the area before actually heading inside.

Main Hall
This is the center of the area and is the home of most of the battles on the map. There are plenty of positions for pilots to wallrun and catch enemy titans off-guard. This is why it is important that you pay close attention to both ground and elevated areas for a potential rodeo-attack. As for the pilots, they should have no difficulty in avoiding incoming fire from titans while they are inside the area with the hardpoint.

This area is completely open is mostly dominated by titans who have massive AoE abilities. While you are in this area, you should definitely take cover behind the shipping containers and boxes scattered all around. When roaming this area, I highly recommend using Cloak as a Tactical Ability in order to get out of tight situations.

Lab Area
This area houses a hardpoint and should be defended because it is relatively easy to do so. In addition to the main entrance, there is also a back-entrance which should be checked from time-to-time. The back-entrance is not used often, but it is recommended to check it for potential flanks.

It is also important to note that the main entrance of the area can easily fit a titan. Keeping this in mind, it is important that you have a titan of your own guarding the area.

Game Modes Strategy

Amped Hardpoint
When it comes to the hardpoint in the Lab Area, do remember that it is big enough to house a titan which you need to do in order to defend it. Moreover, cloak works really well while capturing this objective because of a lack of light in the area. The B hardpoint is somewhat in an open space which can be contested from multiple locations.

You need to make sure to have a titan for cover fire and escape via the Thunderdome as soon as you have captured the point. Finally, coming to C hardpoint, this hardpoint is literally impossible to control without the help of your friendly titans. The idea is to stay hidden from enemy pilots and titans alike and wait for your own titans to come in.

Once they do, distract enemy titans with the likes of Arc Grenades and let your teammates rodeo-attack them down before taking the hardpoint.

Bounty Hunt
In the Main Hall, it is a good idea to use the Electric Smoke and keep your eyes peeled on the elevated areas for potential flanks. Your main job is to make sure that you reach the courtyard area before the enemy team does and do not let them inside the building. This should allow you to claim the bounty earlier as long as the enemies are pinned to the helipad.

Capture the Flag
There are multiple routes that you can take as you try to return the flag. Out of these, I highly recommend the Main Hall one. Not only this route is incredibly fast, but you will also be able to utilize alleyways in order to keep your speed and momentum. While moving through this area, you should also try and have Grappling Glider and slide whenever you hit the ground.

Alternatively, you can also try the Thunderdome, but for this route, you must ask your teammates to clear the area ahead before moving in. In addition to this, you can also try and use the Elevator Lobby area, but be prepared to face some titans. However, you should be able to use those pillars and walls to your advantage and get out of the area before enemies have a chance to react.
