There Are No Assassins in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey?

Well, as a fan of Assassin’s Creed it is hard to imagine a game without Assassins but Odyssey could be exactly that. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey may not feature the Assassin’s Brotherhood. According to Ubisoft, the game is set 400 years before the events of Assassin’s Creed Origins.

For those who haven’t played Assassin’s Creed Origins, the game is the origin story of the Assassin’s Brotherhood. Bayak laid the foundation of the Brotherhood which means there was no concept of the Assassins 400 hundred years prior in Greece.

If Origins is the origin story of the Assassins, how will devs rationalize their existence in Odyssey? If we go by Origins’ story than there are no Assassins in Oddessey but if in fact they exist or come to form in the game, it completely negates the story of that unfolded in Egypt.

The story may focus on pieces of Eden moving from Greece to Egypt where the Assassins eventually formed. It would be an interesting angle but again, an AC game without Assassins? At least to me, it doesn’t make sense but that’s just one man’s opinion and I would love to know what you think of this? Will you accept a game without Assassins?

But that being said, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey doesn’t sound like a bad game. In fact, it could very well be the best (Having a hard time calling it Assassin’s Creed) Assassin’s Creed game.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is releasing for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 5. The game is available for pre-order right now from Steam, Uplay, PlayStation Store, and Xbox Marketplace. You can also grab a copy from Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart.
