The Next Plants vs Zombies Game is a Garden Warfare Sequel, EA’s Job Postings Suggest

According to a couple of new job postings, the next Plants vs Zombies will be a sequel to Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.

The upcoming Plants vs Zombies game is going to be a sequel to Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, according to a couple of job postings that have appeared online.

Electronic Arts posted two job postings over the last week: one for Associate Game Designer and one for Associate Interface Designer, both of which contain references to the last year’s game:

“Popcap HD is looking for a talented Interface Designer to help bring the UI of a new Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare game to life. This role will assist in building screens and visual elements for a colorful and vibrant user interface.”

“We are currently seeking a Designer/Scripter to help us create engaging mission experiences for an upcoming shooter.”

EA announced the next Plants vs Zombies game in its Q4 FY 2015 Results for PC and consoles which is scheduled to arrive sometime in 2016. It’s worth noting here that the EA neither announced the game as a sequel nor a prequel, and only stated that it will be a bigger and bolder experience for the console community.

With the EA’s E3 2015 press conference close at hand, hopefully, we will learn more of the upcoming Plants vs Zombies game along with this year’s Need for Speed and Star Wars: Battlefront.
