Red Dead Redemption 3 Might Not Take 8-Years

The publisher behind Rockstar Games and Red Dead Redemption 2, Take-Two Interactive, thinks the game took very long to release. The 8-year gap was painful for any Red Dead Redemption fans. Take-Two assures us that the wait for future Take-Two games won’t be as long. This could obviously mean that Red Dead Redemption 3 will be sooner than RDR2.

I don’t see it expanding further. In fact, I would expect in many instances it may compress.

He also specifically talked about how Red Dead Redemption 2 and it shouldn’t have taken 8 years. Even with the massive amount of content it provided, 8-years is a long time. The epilogue of the game alone was around 6 hours in length. That’s the amount of a standalone game in its own right.

The second part of his statement mentioned compressing games. Does this mean we could see smaller games from Take-Two? Smaller games but more added with post-release updates?

Most of Take-Two’s business revolves around Rockstar Games while other students often remain MIA for years. The workload on Rockstar often creates unhealthy work environments. It’s worth mentioning that Rockstar was in trouble over work ethics.

The development process behind Red Dead Redemption 2 breaded crunch culture and an abundance of hours put into overtime. It is about time a different development model is adopted by Rockstar. Furthermore, other Take-Two studios should step up and create quality content to diversify Take-Two line up.

Either way, could this sentiment also mean that we’ll get Grand Theft Auto 6 soon? Or is this another hint at an imminent Bully 2 announcement? We can only speculate for now. Also, fans won’t mind a new Red Dead Redemption 3 soon.
