EA has announced that Star Wars Battlefront 2 update 1.1 is coming tomorrow, and is promising a lot of tweaks to a variety of classes. However, there don’t seem to be any major changes coming, or at least going by the various things EA says we can expect. Hopefully it’s good things.
The main things that are going to be getting changed in the new update are heroes, the Wookiee Warrior class, the Specialist, Heavy, and Officer classes, and weapons. Bug fixes, as with every patch in every game, are also going to be included.
Considering the various criticisms that the game has had, with the huge controversy over microtransactions and a lack of customization (both complete with really flimsy excuses from EA as to why they were and were not, respectively, included in the game), it’s likely going to take a lot more updates for Battlefront 2 to become the game it should have been to begin with.
The last major update that Battlefront 2 had was the Last Jedi update, which netted players two new maps (a space battle over D’Qar and a land battle on Crait), two new heroes in the form of Captain Phasma and Finn, and a new vehicle in the form of an A-wing hero. The update also gave the game closure on its story mode with the Resurrection DLC.
While there likely won’t be another update like that until another Star Wars movie comes out (or if EA steps up their timetable to hopefully add in more planets), Star Wars Battlefront 2 update 1.1 is at least a step in the right direction for still supporting the game.
Either way, while there likely won’t be any other actual content updates for the game in the future, Star Wars Battlefront 2 update 1.1 will be coming tomorrow after a good bit of downtime.
