Sony Holding 24 hours Games Marathon to Support Children’s Hospitals

Sony is teaming up with Children's Miracle Networks Hospitals and holding a 24 hour gaming marathon to raise donations/

It is always a commendable thing when big names come together for a charitable cause. The cause we are talking about right now is Extra Life a part of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals who raise donations for hospitals.

Sony is teaming up with them to hold an event that would be as much fun for the community as it would be beneficial for the hospitals.

The partnership was announced on PlayStation official website where it was also announced that they will be holding a 24 hours long gaming marathon; but before that, here’s what the partnership is about in words of Sony:

Extra Life is part of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a nation-wide network of 170 Children’s Hospitals. Their aim is to drive donations to Children’s Hospitals by leveraging the passion of the gaming community, and this year, PlayStation and Extra Life are teaming up once again. In a call to arms to the PlayStation community, we’re looking to help raise money for Children’s Hospitals across the country by doing what we do best: playing games!

The gaming marathon is going to kick off on October 25 at 8AM PST; you will be playing the games of your choice and in the meanwhile raise awareness and donations for the cause.

All you need to do now is go to www.extra-life.org, select a Children’s Hospital of your choice and sign up for support; then, just join the community on the marathon day.

Here’s where you will need to go in order to get registered for the event and even if you are looking for some more information on the whole thing, go here.
