Sony Announced That Ghost Of Tsushima Will Still Arrive On PS4

This month marks 2 years since Sucker Punch announced Ghost of Tsushima, the exclusive PS4 title. However, despite the fact that the game has been known on subsequent occasions, the info has made us think that the title would actually be a next generation title.

To ease all those who are waiting for the game on PS4, it was announced that Ghost of Tsushima will still be a PS4 title and that we will not have to wait so long to enjoy it.

In the most recent statement to inform about the news of PS5, the next Sony console, Jim Ryan, president and general director of Sony Interactive Entertainment, said that although its new console is already displayed, they will continue to support PS4.

He also mentioned that several triple A releases are coming to the PS5, such as Death Stranding and The Last of Us Part 2. Something that caught the attention is that within the lineup he also mentioned Ghost of Tsushima.

While there’s much more to share about PlayStation 5 in the year ahead, we have plenty of blockbuster experiences coming your way on PS4, including Death Stranding, The Last of Us Part II, and Ghost of Tsushima. I’d like to thank all PlayStation fans for continuing the journey with us, as we embark on the future of games.

Taking into account that the PS5 would debut at festive times next year (late 2020), the revelation serves to delimit that Ghost of Tsushima would be available before that season. In other words, the release will be before the end of 2020.

In other news, a recent vacancy published in the section of job advertisements in Gamasutra gave account of the ambitious plans that exist around the development of Ghost of Tsushima.

According to the information published in the offer, the Sucker Punch team is looking for a quality control area manager who will review the development process of their AAA game (Ghost of Tsushima) for a PlayStation console to comply with quality standards.

However, the following part of the description of the vacancy refers that it is not just a review in the technical section, because the objective is to review aspects such as experience for the player, development of the story and its immersive potential, and fun factor when it comes to play.

Here at Sucker Punch we’re hard at work on Ghost of Tsushima, and we’re looking for an experienced manager for our QA Team. You’ll be responsible for the entire Quality Assurance process, from the strategic planning to final verification, in order to help Sucker Punch ship a best-in-class AAA game for the PlayStation console.

Finally, Sucker Punch’s offer makes it clear that the goal is to make Ghost of Tsushima exploit all the potential it can give.

Ghost of Tsushima does not yet have a release date, but it is expected to arrive before the debut of PlayStation 5.
