Nightmare Difficulty
To unlock Nightmare difficulty, complete Skylanders Swap Force’s story mode once.
Accessing All Areas In Story Mode
If this is your first Skylanders game, chances are you don’t have a massive collection of Skylanders figures. Not having a figure of each type would mean that you won’t be able to play all 16 areas of the game’s story mode.
So how do you go about unlocking all 16 areas without dishing a fortune on figures?
We’ve prepared a handy list of ‘must-have’ Swap Force figures along with their elements and movement types to make it easier for you to decide which one’s you need to complete your set of 16:
- Hoot Loop (Magic/Teleport)
- Trap Shadow (Magic/Stealth)
- Wash Buckler (Water/Climb)
- Freeze Blade (Water/Speed)
- Rumble Rouser (Earth/Spin)
- Doom Stone (Earth/Dig)
- Blast Zone (Fire/Rocket)
- Fire Kraken (Fire/Jump)
- Magna Charge (Tech/Speed)
- Spy Rise (Tech/Climb)
- Night Shift (Undead/Teleport)
- Rattle Shake (Undead/Jump)

You can also try to mix and match your way through the game’s different zones. Smart use of the figures in your possession should get you through the Dual Element Gates and the Swap Force Zones.

Exclusive Dark Edition
Includes 5 in-game upgrade RFID Trading Cards and 5 sticker sheets with secret codes. Only available at GameStop, EB Games and GAME. The Dark Edition also comes with the following 5 Dark Skylanders Figures:

- Dark Blast Zone
- Dark Slobber Tooth
- Dark Ninja Stealth Elf
- Dark Wash Buckler
If the Dark Edition was pre-ordered, it also included a Polar Whirlwind.
