Shadow of the Tomb Raider: “In Many Cases, We May Even See Lara is the Enemy,” Lead Writer

Shadow of the Tomb Raider received a new trailer recently that presented a very dark tone. Lara seemed less of a Tomb Raider and more of a calculated killer, which is not what the character is all about. However, this is a different take on Lara and according to lead writer Jill Murray, in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, we may often see Lara as the enemy.

In Shadow of the Tomb Raider we see Lara really fighting not to become the enemy that she hates, in many cases, we might even see that the enemy is herself. She’s going to make a lot of mistakes, deal with a lot of complicities.

And I always thinkm depending on your perspective a hero can also be a threat, and in this game, Lara has to decide with all of her power that she has, that she’s becoming the Tomb Raider she’s destined to be, which path she is going to choose.

There are so many different elements of her character and Lara Croft motion capture model Camilla Luddington has done an exceptional job portraying her.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider will release later this year on PS4, PS4 PRO, Xbox One, Xbox One X, and PC. While the game is under development at Crytal Dynamics, for the most part, Nixxes will handle the game’s PC version. The game is set in the backdrop of the Mayan culture and the savagery of the times.
