Rumor Makes Time Travel Work For Us: We’ll Apparently Be Seeing Kitana In Mortal Kombat 11

A rumor has stated that we might be seeing Kitana in Mortal Kombat 11 as a playable character, though there's been no confirmation yet.

A recent rumor has come about in regards to the Mortal Kombat 11 roster. Apparently we’ll be seeing Kitana in Mortal Kombat 11, though until we actually get a trailer for her, there’s no telling if it’s true or not. However, since the game involves time travel, it might not be that far-fetched.

Kitana was originally one of the many Mortal Kombat characters that died in Mortal Kombat 2011. We next saw her in Mortal Kombat X as one of the many different revenants that had been brought back from the dead by Quan Chi. Now, however, due to Kronika’s disruption of time, we may be seeing Kitana in Mortal Kombat 11 as a playable character.

Kitana is one of the main trio of Mortal Kombat ninja ladies, who included Jade and Mileena. While Mileena is dead, having been killed by D’vorrah in Mortal Kombat X, Jade has been shown to be making a return alongside another ninja lady, Skarlet. Unlike Jade’s spear, Kitana uses razor-bladed fans to combat her enemies.

What exactly the possibility of Kitana in Mortal Kombat 11 means to the game in general, however, remains to be seen, though since the story trailer has already shown what looks like five Shao Khans running around to help Kronika “fix” the series’s timelines, multiple Kitanas won’t be that out-of-place, even with one normal Kitana and one Revenant Kitana, who rules with Liu Kang as Empress of Outworld.

Either way, whether or not we actually get to see Kitana in Mortal Kombat 11 as a playable character remains to be seen. The game will be coming out on April 25 on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC, but if you want to play it on the Nintendo Switch you’ll have to wait until May 10.

Until then, however, we’ll have to wait and see if Kitana gets any sort of character trailer.
