Rocksteady Not Developing Superman And No Announcement At The Game Awards 2018

Rocksteady has confirmed that it isn't developing a Superman game and has confirmed that there won't be any announcement at the Game Awards 2018.

Rocksteady Studios has long been rumored to be developing a Superman Game. Turns out, that is not the case as Rocksteady has confirmed that it isn’t developing a Superman game. Not only that, the studio has confirmed that there won’t be any announcement at the Game Awards 2018.

Rocksteady co-founder, Sefton Hill, took to his official Twitter account to let fans know that Rocksteady isn’t working on a Superman game and won’t make any announcements at the Game Awards 2018.

Looking forward to #TheGameAwards this year! We’re still hard at work in our development bunker so don’t expect an announcement from @Rocksteadygames. When it’s ready to show, you’ll be the first to know. Spoiler: it’s not Superman.

It will come as a surprise to many fans as rumors almost confirmed Rocksteady developing a Superman Game. Not only that, we are going to have to wait a little while longer for Rocksteady to announce its next title.

Rocksteady Games is known for developing the Batman Arkham Franchise. Rocksteady’s take on the Batman proves that superhero games can work, you just need the right developer.

While it is disappointing Rocksteady not announcing its game at the Game Awards 2018 but, it will be interesting to see what they are working on next.

Speaking of the Game Awards 2018, 10 new games will be announced at the event. However, that is not the interesting news. The interesting news is that Avengers 4 directors are coming to Game Awards 2018.

Game Awards creator didn’t specify what they will be presenting. It is possible that Avengers 4 trailer will debut alongside the gameplay reveal of Avengers game.

The timing is not a coincidence as Avengers 4 trailer is expected to roll out any time. With the hype of Avengers 4 going through the roof, Russo Brothers revealing the Avengers game seems like a perfect idea.

The Avengers game is in development at Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal. Square Enix is performing the publishing duties. However, nothing is known about the game except for a little teaser.

Not only that, the game is likely to launch for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. But, reports indicate that Avengers is in development for PlayStation 5.

Furthermore, rumors suggest that the Avengers game is a reboot of the Ultimate Alliance. According to the report, the tagline “Reassemble” for the first teaser hints that the game is a reboot.

Rumors don’t end here as a report suggests Alein Blackout’s announcmenet at Game Awards 2018.

However, this isn’t particularly a rumor as the hint was dropped by Geoff Keighley himself. Keighley took to his official Twitter account and posted a cryptic message “WORLDS WILL CHANGE”.

The art style of the image used is identical to the Alein franchise. This will be first Alien game to release following Alien Isolation. However, it probably won’t be a survival horror.

The evidence suggests that the game is going to be an online multiplayer experience. If this is true then, it is exactly the opposite of what the fans want. But for now, I will reserve my judgment until the game is revealed.
