It is tradition for every winning team to mark its prestigious annual crowning by receiving League of Legends World Championship skins from Riot Games.

The victorious players have the freedom to choose their champions that they want the skins for. When Samsung Galaxy (SSG) defeated SK Telecom T1 (SKT) on the weekend in a historic finish, the community was naturally interested to know what champions the winning roster has decided on.

According to a recent report, all the players apart from Kang “Ambition” Chan-yong have forwarded their champion picks to Riot Games. This also includes Park “Haru” Min-seung, who filled in as a substitute player for the roster in the tournament.

  • TOP: Lee “CuVee” Seong-jin has picked Gnar
  • JUN: Kang “Ambition” Chan-yong has not decided yet
  • JUN: Park “Haru” Min-seung has picked Rengar
  • MID: Lee “Crown” Min-ho has picked Taliyah
  • ADC: Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk has picked Xayah
  • SUP: Jo “CoreJJ” Yong-in has picked Rakan

This will be the second set of championship skins for the Samsung Galaxy organization, having won back in 2014 with the Samsung Galaxy White roster. This will also be the second championship skin for Rengar, the first going to Choi “DanDy” In-kyu from Samsung Galaxy White.

SKT already has three different sets of championship skins under its belt to commemorate its past three victories. While it is saddening to see the most successful team in the history of the game unable to obtain its fourth championship victory, it will be a breath of fresh air to see the new championship skins named after someone else.

League of Legends is preparing to receive its highly anticipated pre-season update later this week.
