Red Dead Redemption 2 Outsold Red Dead Redemption In Eight Days

Red Dead Redemption 2 sales crossed Red Dead Redemption in a mere eight days. The game made 700M+ dollars wordwide, beating Avengers Infinity War.

Earlier, before the game wasn’t released yet, RDR2 was one of the most highly awaited video games of 2018, and it seems like eager anticipation for RDR2 has translated into groundbreaking sales.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has sold 17 million units in eight days, a number Red Dead Redemption reached in 8-years.

It is also worth mentioning that this figure was sold-in numbers rather than selling-through which means that the physical copies were included in the 17 million units.

As a matter of fact, Rockstar’s parent company Publisher Take-Two Interactive officially revealed this news in their second-quarter finical report in an earnings call. Take-Two Interactive also mentioned briefly about the Red Dead Online, which is promised to fans that a beta version of the game will take place later this month, so perhaps we won’t have to wait too much for this to come out.

In the last night’s call executive Karl Slatoff also called Red Dead Online “an evolution of the classic multiplayer experience in the original Red Dead Redemption” and it will blend “narrative with competitive as well as cooperative game-play” and the game is also available for playing solo or you can play with friends.

This being said Rockstar Games stated in this regard “Using the gameplay of the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 as a foundation, Red Dead Online will be ready to be experienced alone or with friends, and will also feature constant updates and adjustments to grow and evolve this experience for all players.”

Red Dead Online almost sounds like GTA Online, in which we saw familiar characters from GTA 5’s story mode and which gives the characters new missions, targets and some other fun things to do.

No doubt, Rockstar Games is no stranger when it comes to having humongous sales of their units attached to their projects, Grand Theft Auto 5 an action-adventure open world game which is one of the biggest industry hits ever. It is also worth mentioning that GTA 5 became the most profitable entertainment product which was ever made in the industry crossing the likes of even the massive Hollywood success such as Star Wars and also Gone With The Wild.

All other things considered, with this huge number already under the belt of RDR2 in such a short amount of time, it makes one wonder that how much of a sales boost game could get once the Rockstar Games launches its multiplayer component the Red Dead Online.

The latest discoveries regarding Red Dead Online includes the possibility of racing, dueling, deathmatches, and much more.

Rockstar intel shared some news leak of its own claiming that they have found the list of missions and its type which are coming to Red Dead Online.

The list of missions types included in the Red Dead Online is The main Missions, Deathmatch and Race.
One of the biggest differences that the fans of GTA and RDR will begin to see in both of the franchise is that they are often speeding up through or

flying over a GTA world, whereas in RDR2 the change of pace will affect the intimacy of the overall experience.
