Ragnarok Isn’t The Name of the Next Assassin’s Creed Game

The amount of leaks about the next Assassin’s Creed game over the past few days has swept fans off their feet. However, a popular analyst claims that it won’t be called Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok. He still confirms that some of the leaks are close to reality.

The latest leaks about the next Assassin’s Creed game claims that the game houses the biggest map ever seen in the franchise. Not only is it spread in multiple cities but it also covers most of northern Europe. Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok, or whatever it might be called will have even more RPG elements, starting from weapon durability and in-depth character development. As it seems though, the leaks fell through about the name.

Daniel “ZhugeEX” Ahmad, senior analyst at Niko Partners confirmed that some of the released leaks are relatively close to what the game really is. The entirety of it though doesn’t come close to what the game really is. Commenting on a related ResetEra thread, he said:

For what it’s worth. All of the new AC leaks so far have been incorrect. It’s not even called Ragnarok.
Sure. Some of the details are right. Like improved combat or whatever. But in general they’re not that accurate.

It all comes down to when Ubisoft will be ready to make the official announcement and get us out of our “misery”. The company saw a decline in its income during the previous fiscal quarter. As a result, the release dates for Watch Dogs Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine and Gods, and Monsters have been pushed back. We don’t know if this will affect “Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok” too, although it seems highly unlikely.

If the next AC game is set in the Viking reign era, then it is bound to be successful. Gamers do like that spin in human history and if Ubisoft manages to tie it with an intriguing story and deep RPG elements, current poor sales can be a turnaround for the company.

For what it’s worth, right now is a highly unstable period for the video game industry. Given the release of next-gen consoles, Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X late this year, we shall expect publishers to not announce more titles before the console announcements settle down.

Always looking for a deep story, empathetic characters, and a great soundtrack in video games. Hardcore game hoarder and a strong believer that one day Xbox will win the console war.
