Rage 2 full map image has been shared on Internet revealing different regions that the players will be able to visit in the game. This image was created by a fan, who discovered a video showing every inch of Rage 2’s map. It’s possible that some areas of the map are still not included in the full map below, as Avalanche Studios might add more locations to the game later on.
The regions mentioned in the above image include The Wilds, Broker Tract, Torn Plains, Sekreto Wetlands, Dune Sea and Twisting Canyons.
As promised, Rage 2’s map size is much bigger than the original Rage video game. Dune Sea seems like an area just for having fun. The other areas are a mixture of narrow and clearing paths. It’s also expected that some of the locations in Rage 2 like Torn Plains may contain places from the first entry in Rage series.
That said, you’ll soon be able to play the game and have fun when Rage 2 releases on May 14, 2019 for PC via Epic Games Store, Microsoft’s Xbox One and Sony’s PlayStation 4. Moreover, players will not have to complete story missions in order to gain access to different locations in Rage 2 like most other open world games. Instead, “As soon as you finish the introduction, the door opens and you can go anywhere” according to director Tim Willits. Meaning that you can start having fun from the start with no restrictions. The fun however, will be limited to single-player as there is no Rage 2 Co-op or multiplayer.
Rage 2 has now gone gold and is ready to be shipped later this month. There’s no mention of Rage 2 pre-load yet but it’s expected to start 48 hours before the game launches worldwide. However, it will not take you very long to download the full game as it weighs about 30 GB on Xbox One, according to Microsoft Store.
Bethesda Softworks has also revealed system requirements for Rage 2 on PC. The studio recommends that the players have an Intel Core i7-4770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X CPU with 8GB of RAM and an Nvidia GTX 1070 8GB or AMD Vega 56 8GB graphics card. Those who have a tight budget can run the game on an Intel Core i5-3570 or an AMD Ryzen 3 1300X CPU with an 8GB of RAM, Nvidia GTX 780 3GB or an AMD R9 280 3GB. In addition to this, PC players of Rage 2 will be able to play the game without any frame rate limits.
On the other hand, Xbox One X and PS4 Pro players will be able to enjoy Rage 2 with 1080p resolution and frame rate capped at 60, compared to 30 FPS on standard consoles.
