Project CARS Delayed Again, Pushed Back to April

Project CARS has been delayed yet again and will now release on April 2 in Europe and North America, Slightly Mad Studios has confirmed.

The new date relates to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC versions. There’s however, still no news on the Wii U edition, which so far is going with a vague 2015 release time-frame.

“Moving a release date was not an easy decision to make, as we know our fans are eager to get their hands-on on Project CARS,” studio head Ian Bell. “But we know that these extra days will allow us to provide the best game experience that our fans deserve. We assure you the wait will be worth it when the game does arrive early April.”

Project CARS was previously due for release in March, and before that was originally listed for release last year. While the latest delay is said to give developers more time to further polish the game, last year’s delay was to avoid “the competitive holiday scene dominated by household names.”

Project CARS so far is looking brilliant, and has even involved the community to shape specific elements based on feedback. Slightly Mad Studios is confident in its game, but we’ll know for sure how it weighs up to its competitors once the final product is released.
